WHAT TO EXPECT: THE OSSETIAN AMBUSH
NATO has conducted deniable operations in Kazakhstan to degrade RICC capability under the guise of military exercises. NATO Special Forces infiltrated Kazakhstan with attached Uzbekistani Special Forces to conduct a targeted strike on RICC forces in PAZIN. RICC responded with force, conducting an MLRS strike on PAZIN after NATO forces withdrew.
Publicly, NATO claimed that they were conducting force generation and integration exercises with the Uzbeks and inadvertently crossed the border. They stated that NATO and Uzbek forces acted in self defence and immediately withdrew across the border into Uzbekistan. Privately however, NATO leadership was happy with the outcome; RICC grey operation capability degraded and a large number of local ESS militants eliminated.
This incursion sparked border skirmishes between Uzbek and Kazakh forces backed by NATO and RICC. Although all-out war did not erupt, the clashes became a major flashpoint with casualties on both sides.
In the immediate aftermath, China and Iran joined the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), further strengthening their military and economic ties with Russia and their surrounding neighbours.
Recently, the small nation of Georgia held their government elections. After widespread allegations of fraud and interference, the elections were overturned by the Supreme Court. In response, the CSTO deployed a joint force to South Ossetia, a region that Russia annexed from Georgia in 2008. Georgia, identifying the similarities of this action in comparison to the invasion of Ukraine, has requested NATO assistance and fast tracking of NATO membership. NATO has redeployed troops to the area and are supporting Georgian independence.
THE OSSETIAN AMBUSH is the next MULTI DAY MILSIM from MJOLNIR GELSIM, running at GELSIM RANCH from 01-03 MAY 2026.
GOODBYE TO WHITE TIGER
The White Tiger name has been officially retired. It served as our starting point to establish the brand and develop the narrative for our events; now that we have a solid foundation, we have closed that chapter and will move forward with a single, interconnected storyline across all future events.
ODIN PMC has left the operational theatre and NATO has taken over. RICC has had its core membership rolled into the CSTO, finalising our two core factions. This structure gives us consistent factions and a stable framework to continually build and expand our stories for participants.
Overnight and a long Weekend
We learnt a lot from our first overnight event at the Kazakh Incursion. We’re continuing to build on this experience and provide the best possible experience for the participants. The event this year is also scheduled over a Queensland long weekend, which means you won’t have to rush back to work after we finish up.
As always, packing appropriately is a must. All participants must bring the appropriate equipment if they want to take the field. This will be checked by staff, and if players do not have the right gear, they will not be allowed to take the field.
NO EXCEPTIONS
Participants are expected to have a level of fitness that they can carry all of their equipment in and out of the field. Mjolnir Gelsim will not be carting around players gear for them, carry it on your back or don’t bring it.
We have also tightened the rules around returning to the safe zone. If you leave wihout a valid reason, you won’t be coming back.

The Ossetian Ambush is once again being hosted at Gelsim Ranch! With continuous improvements being made to the field, it truly is one of the premier MILSIM venues in South East Queensland and we can’t be more excited to host another event here.

As we continue to build year on year, we want to make the experience for our participants as seemless and stress free as possible. This includes the use of ammunition. We could not be more excited this year to announce that SummerCat Gelball has agreed to supply all the ammunition used at The Ossetian Ambush!
So what does that mean for you?
All gels used in the event will be supplied and allocated by Mjolnir Gelsim staff. There is no need for you to bring your own gels to the event. If you are concerned that the gels might not run correctly in your weapon, feel free to bring a supply of your own however, these must meet certain requirements. Check out our newly updated SOP for more information.

TICKETING
Ticketing has been updated to improve participant organisation. You can now choose between:
Buying a faction ticket (where you will be assigned to a section by Mjolnir Gelsim staff), or
Buying a section ticket (assigns you to a specific section within that faction).
If you want to play with a particular group, coordinate with them and each buy tickets for the same section.

We acknowledge ticket prices are higher this year. Rising operational costs have forced us to adjust pricing after holding rates steady for several events. We believe the increase is justified by considerably greater value: extended overnight gameplay, increased gel supply, enhanced scenario design and expanded staff support. MILSIM is a very niche sport in Gel ball, and we want to thank each and every one of you for continuing to support us and our events.

A full 26 hour MILSIM experience, beginning gameplay at 10am Saturday 02 May and concluding at 12pm Sunday 03 May, with each faction being led by experienced MILSIM personnel.

A Couple of Key Points
Make sure you bring enough food and water to sustain yourself for the full weekend. That includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and sustainment snacks.
For camping; tents, swags and any other man mobile camping equipment is encouraged. Camping vans, trailers and other large, bulky equipment is discouraged due to limited camping space.
Read the Mjolnir Gelsim Standard Operating Procedures. This covers all rules regarding the event and has the mandatory packing requirements. If you come with the wrong gear, you will be turned away.
